INTRODUCTION:

KARAKAS (SIGNIFACTORS): The Karakas considered for education are Jupiter and Mercury

 

The parameters for education considered:

                                              The house of education as 5^th house from Lagna (Ascendant) and Mercury are considered.

 

Planets, Rasi & Houses influencing Medical Education:

 

Technical planets: 

                                   Sun (father of medical knowledge), Afflicted Moon (doctor’s drugged moon)                                       

                                   Saturn, Mars & Ketu (Signifactor of Medical Practitioner)

                                   Debilitated & Retrograde planets also

                                   Venus & Mercury if afflicted 

                                   Jupiter (under technical influence) signifying Jeev Vigyan – Science dealing with Living Beings

 

Technical Rasi:      Aries Gemini Leo Virgo and Sagittarius Capricorn and Aquarius

                                        

Connection/Association/Link among Houses:

                                         Sixth house – Diseases

                                         Eighth house – sudden mishap, emergency, surgery

                                        Twelfth house – Hospital 

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM:

A Minor Study on Planets by Pac (Position, Aspect & Conjunction) in Doctors Horoscopes

Objective of the study:

To check the relevance of precepts from authentic texts in present day context regarding medical education (MBBS)

Hypotheses:

1. Afflicted moon exists in Doctors’ horoscopes.

2. A connection or association exists between 5^th house /lord and technical planets in doctors’ horoscopes.

3. Doctors have an association or connection between 5^th house/lord and 6^th 8^th & 12^th houses or their lords

       in their horoscopes.

4     Interconnection exists amongst 6th 8^th and 12^th houses /lords of doctors’ horoscopes.

5.  Influence of Jupiter on 5^th house /lord is evident in doctors’ horoscopes.      

 COLLECTION OF DATA

Data collection consisted of Doctors with specialization , Duty Doctors and MBBS students pursuing medical education who are at PG and Clinicals / House surgeon level both in India and  Abroad  irrespective of age and gender i.e. Age and gender were not taken into the account /were not considered.

   Doctors with Super Speciality -1    Doctors with Specialization – 3  

    Pursuing PG – 1   Junior Doctor - 1   Completed MBBS - 3

    At Clinicals/House Surgeon – 3

4.       Influence of Sun/Ketu on the fifth house/fifth lord

5.       Association / link /connection between 5^th house/lord with 6^th 8^th & 12^th                                                                                Houses and their lords.

FINDINGS:

1.       Affliction to moon is found 100% (in all the charts)  

2.       Technical influence on 5^th house / 5^th lord from lagna was  100 percent

3.       Influence of Jupiter and Sun/Ketu on the 5^th house /lord (both from Lagna & Mercury ) was 100 %

4.       Fifth house or 5^th lord was connected with 6^th, 8th & 12^th houses /lord with one, either or all three houses.

 

       ASTROLOGICAL IMPLICATIONS OF THE PRESENT STUDY:  

       The present study will reaffirm the precepts regarding medical career in astrology.

       The present study will be useful in Educational counseling.

       The present study will be useful in accelerating further minor studies on various dictums & precepts.

 

 LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY

D24 CHART,   D9 CHART & DASA LORDS were not taken into account

In very few cases NAKSHATRA LORDS were considered.

Reference books referred were not countable 

FUTURE STUDIES:

The present study can be applied to diverse & varied samples.

 Another important direction for future study might be samples where all the parameters will be in tune with the precepts but may not result in medical career. Further insights are required if such be the situation.

Regarding career Astrology, Medical Career related studies with reference to Ayurveda, Homeopathy, and Unani, Naturopathy etc can be conducted.

CONCLUSION:

The present study supports the precepts considered for this study.
